Adventures in House Hunting...Volume 2

Yep, I'm still on the search for the perfect home. :-)

House one was fabulous in pictures.  I Googled. I MapQuested. I did a drive-by.  I wish I could tell you what the inside of this house looked like in person...but I can't.  You see, I told my trusty Realtor - Elaine that I wanted to see this house.  She called, and called and called.  The selling agent.  The phone calls weren't returned for an entire week!!!  And then, it was only to tell Elaine that the house had been sold to someone else.  Gee, lady - update the status on the freaking listing!  It's not that hard.

House two was questionable in pictures. It could be fabulous; it could be hideous.  So, I dragged dear old dad to see said house.  And I liked it.  Really liked it...but didn't get the feeling that this was "the one".  You know what I'm talking about right?  The feeling that this is the house you were meant to buy.  So, I walked away.

But, it's been a few weeks since the home tour.  And the house is really growing on me.  To the point where I put an offer on it today!  It all happened so fast!  I got pre-approved for a loan at 4 o'clock and was submitting my offer two hours later.  I should have news before the end of the week!!  Eek!

So, based on the two pictures I can share...what do you think of my potential new home?

  8. My fingers are crossed for you, I am sure you will get it if the market is anything there like it is here in the midwest. We are still trying to sell our house it has been on the market for 7 weeks now and I am starting to get bumbed and worried that we won't sell. My hubby keeps telling me to stay positive that we will sell and we will close on our dream house. Ahh, the joys of moving! Good luck!!

  14. It is cute and big! I hope your offer is accepted. Just a precaution before you purchase this house, you might want to get a certified home inspector to inspect it and check for any potential problems and issues that you are not aware of. You could also use the recommendation of a home inspector as a basis for finalizing the offer.

I was able to try the services of this home inspection St. Paul, MN company and all I can say is that they did a fine and thorough job on their house inspection. You might want to call them up.

Once again, I hope you get this house!
