January Book List & Contemplating A Swap

I can't believe how fast January has flown by.  Anyone else wondering where the month went?

I got some pretty cool responses from my 2009 book list.  Two authors thanked me for reading their books.  How cool is that?!?!  I'm always looking for new books to read - so if you have something on your booklist that seems good - let me know!  I'd love to read it too and compare notes.  :-)

Here's my book list for January:
  1. Hunted - P.C & Kristin Cast
  2. Tempted - P.C & Kristin Cast
  3. Dear John - Nicholas Sparks
  4. Pilgrims - Elizabeth Gilbert
  5. Souvenir - Therese Fowler
  6. The Secret of Everything - Barbara O'Neal
  7. Blue Bloods - Melissa de la Cruz
  8. Masquerade - Melissa de la Cruz
  9. Revelations - Melissa de la Cruz
  10. Why Moms Are Weird - Pamela Ribon
  11. Jupiter's Bones - Faye Kellerman
  12. High Tea - Sandra Harper
I wondering if I should start doing book reviews...but think you all might throttle me if I reviewed every book I read.

Now that everyone has made it past the holidays and can breathe a little, I think I want to host a swap.  I mentioned it on Twitter earlier in the week, and want the opinion of those of you aren't my Twitter followers (yet).  :-)  My ideas are: favorite book, stationery, favorite movie, journal, or cookbook swap.  Do you have any other ideas?  I want something easy, fun and perhaps a little spring-y.  Could you envision participating if one of these were chosen?

  1. I love the idea of a swap and I would sure participate.

Did you read all of those books in January? Where did you find the time?

  2. I just re-read Dear John in preparation for the movie - I forgot how sad it was!! Can't wait for the movie now!

I'd totally do a swap - I like the book or movie idea. Trust me, no one would want my recipes! HA!

  3. I am reading number 3. I am just getting into it. I love swaps but I am not suppose to do them for a while. I have one in Feb. Let me know when you are thinking about doing it. I may be able to join in. Happy Sunday.

  5. How did you like Pilgrim? Eat, Pray, Love is my favorite book EVER, but for some reason, I haven't read any of her other things. I have her new book in my cart at Amazon.

  7. I have no swap ideas, but I can tell you a couple of great reads. A few days ago I finished Stephen King's Under the Dome. For years now I've hated his writing... it was like he lost himself. But he's backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. This book was so good!

And right now, I'm reading a book which is totally out of my normal comfort zone, but I couldn't take another month of Jimmy insisting I HAVE to read it. The Lost Symbol. Holy shit, it is amazing!!!!

  9. Since you're reading everyyything that I've read/am reading, I think you should also try Thirst 1 & 2 by Chris Pike. Vampire stories, but I was pretty into both of them. Also the Night World series, not sure of the author, but there are 3 books out.

I think the book swap is a great idea!
