Five on Friday...

Hurray, it's Friday!!  It's been a long, busy, productive week around here.  :-) How is your week going? I'm linking up with April, and hope I get to visit more lovely blogs this week than I did last week!

I'm leading off with a confession.  I had a few posts written in my head that should have made it to the blog this week...but didn't.  #bloggingfail  I promise you'll all get more than two posts from me next week!

Animals of all kinds must know I'm a soft touch.  I was greeted by these four (loud) sweeties as soon as I got out of my car.  After a little research, I'm going to bring them some air popped popcorn and leafy greens this weekend.

Jamberry's new catalog comes out September 1st.  Guess what?! We're going to have a line of gel nails!!  Please leave me a comment or email me if you're interested in being one of my September hostesses and being one of the FIRST to check out both the gel nails and the new release of Jamberry wraps.  (Psst... we have a lot of wraps retiring, so stock up on your favorites from my "Going, Going, GONE!" page.) I'll also be having #manimonday Instagram giveaways this month.  So if you're not following me, you should.  Just sayin'. :-)

I have been drinking this tea like it's going out of style.  If you like peaches, you really need to try this tea! It makes a really yummy iced tea! I've made it as sun tea a few times and have to say that I've cheated a bunch and steeped it using the "hot water" function of my Keurig and then poured it over ice.

Does anyone have a FitBit?  (I know...insert laughter HERE.)  How about a FitBit One?  I'm considering the FitBit One.  I like that it is supposed to track my activity and my non-existant sleep.  Plus I found what I think is a good deal HERE.  I need advice!

Have a good weekend everyone!

It's My Birthday... and a Jamberry Giveaway Winner!!

If you know me in real life, you know that I'm shy.  I HATE being the center of attention and am very go with the flow...  However, my birthday is my day.  My one day to get the few things that I really want.  So I embrace the day! I hope that isn't selfish!

If you are following me on Instagram, you've already seen this - but I'm really enjoying seeing pictures of myself as a little kid lately.  These pictures were my grandmother's and came home with my dad after his trip to Texas last month.

Congratulations to my lucky Jamberry giveaway winner - Jennifer! You all can expect another Jamberry giveaway in the fall, and I'll be having another birthday month giveaway starting in a few days!

Five on Friday - Independence Day

Happy Independence Day!!!  I'm finding that I'm really starting to look forward to the Five on Friday link-up with April. There are so many really great bloggers that linked up that I can go visit!

I love fireworks! Before my brother's deployment, he loved fireworks too.  Unfortunately, he came back from Afghanistan, like many others with PTSD.  This makes fireworks difficult for a lot of our current soldiers and veterans.  If you have a veteran or currently enlisted soldier in your neighborhood, please consider talking to them.  Knowing when you anticipate setting off fireworks won't take away their PTSD, but may give them time to leave or utilize coping mechanisms.

Did you know that the 5th of July is one of the busiest days of the year for shelters?  Fireworks are scary for many pets, which triggers their fight or flight response.  Be sure to keep your furbabies inside and safe while you enjoy the fireworks!

In case you were wondering...this is what the 4th of July looks like at my office!

If you haven't dropped by my blog this week, you haven't heard about my Jamberry giveaway yet!  You can enter to win two sheets of Jamberry nails of your choice on this post!

I came across this berry popsicle recipe and can't wait to try it!  How festive and yummy looking, right?!

Have a fabulous weekend weekend, everyone!

Jamberry Nails Giveaway

Happy July!  It's my birthday month.  :-)  While I don't like being the center of attention, I do enjoy having a little fun, so we'll be having a few giveaways this month!

I'm kicking off the giveaways with Jamberry!  I've mentioned a few times that I am a Jamberry consultant, and I have to say that I love it!  Though most of you have heard of Jamberry, some of you may not be familiar with it, so I'm going to answer a few commonly asked questions.

What are Jamberry Nail Wraps?
Jamberry nail wraps are the latest way to accessorize your fingers and toes. Say goodbye to polish mess and dry times with this new nail treatment that can be applied at home in about fifteen minutes. Full disclosure, I can do a full set in about 15 minutes now, but it took a few applications to find my rhythm.

How long do they last?
A Jamberry manicure is less expensive than a salon manicure and lasts up to 2 weeks! I've had sets that have stayed put past two weeks and sets that are ready for a change at the 10 to 12 day mark...but overall, two weeks is a good estimate.  They last on toes for MUCH LONGER!

Do you really think they'll have designs I'd like?
Yes, yes, yes!  There is over 300 designs that range from mild to wild, there's something for everyone.

Aren't they a little expensive?
Actually, no. For those of you that get professional manicures or acrylic nails applied, you’re probably spending more than Jamberry nails would cost you to do yourself. Plus, you get two applications from ONE sheet of nails and they are Buy 3, Get 1 FREE!, In other words, super affordable!

How can I tell if I'll like them?
Lucky you, I offer a FREE SAMPLE to try before you buy.  :-)

Here's why I love Jamberry so much...

Reminder - in this post, I committed to making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project for any red, white or blue wraps purchased by July 4th through my Jamberry website.  I am extending that through the entire month of July!

One lucky winner will receive two Jamberry Nail Wrap designs of their choice. This giveaway is open to anyone with a US or Canada mailing address ages 18 and over. To enter just fill out the rafflecopter form below & while you wait to find out the results, request a FREE sample!

P.S. When my Jamberry Facebook page reaches 100 likes, I'll be having a giveaway there too. :-)

Five on Friday

Happy Friday!!!  I hope everyone has had a good week and has some fun (or relaxing) plans for the weekend.

This week I'm linking up with the lovely ladies that host Five on Friday.  Because, really...what better way to put together all the topics that you've been thinking about, but aren't quite a post of their own.  :-)

One...

Since I started blogging consistently again, so many of my old friends are gone.  I need to find new bloggy friends! It seems that comments are a rare commodity these days too.  So I've decided that I'll be visiting everyone that links up this week to leave them a little comment love. I blog because I love it - but a little comment love is always makes me feel good.  I want to share that feeling!

Two...

Have you seen the trailer for "The Secret Life of Pets" yet?  Take a few minutes and indulge your inner Pixar junkie and watch it!

Three...

I come from a military family and have such respect for the Wounded Warrior Project.  I've decided that I'll make a donation of $2 per sheet of patriotic wraps listed above purchased through my site...and I'll add a few more options too! Visit my site HERE and buy any of the following wraps: Ka Boom, Patriot, Navy Stripe, Star Spangled, Poppy & White Polka, White Stripe, Blue Jeans, Fountain of Youth, Whiteout, Little Patriot or True Love.  I want to make a HUGE donation to Wounded Warrior Project!

Four...

I need new sandals.  Which do you like better?  Or better yet, what are your go-to sandals?  Ideally, I'm looking for work appropriate (our office is very casual) and fun!

Five...

I want to get some bandanas sewn for the rescue this weekend.  Wish me luck!
