I ♥ True Blood

True Blood is back.  HURRAY!!!  I've been anxiously awaiting it's return for months now...OK, fine.  I admit it, I've been counting down since January December November.

Now it's back and all is right with the world my summer viewing schedule.

Have you seen the Snoop Dogg video "Oh Sookie"?!?!  You have to watch it!

Did you know that Twitter will be hosting a "Drop of Blood" on Thursday nights?  A quick clip that didn't make it into an episode and HBO is kind enough to share!  Check it out here.
Did you watch last Sunday and really appreciate some of the lines or um...Eric's "scenery"?  Have any predictions you'd like to discuss?  I'm all ears!!  Discuss.  :-)

Musical Monday - A Punk (Vampire Weekend)

Happy Monday, ladies! It's been a great (but H.O.T) weekend!

I started my Saturday by visiting my hairdresser and getting a trim & highlight. I just love it when someone plays with my hair! The highlight of Sunday was going to the beach with Kirstren and her son. I didn't get burned (ok..maybe a little pink in a few spots) this time. Way to go SPF 70!

The theme of my weekend was vampires.

I read 2 and a half Sookie Stackhouse (aka Charlaine Harris' "Dead" series) books.....

Ordered Tru Blood from the HBO website as a little gift to myself and Kirstren.....

Am super excited about the new episode of True Blood...

and I'm sharing a song from Vampire Weekend with you now.

What did you do this weekend? Any other True Blood fans out there?

Musical Monday - Bad Things & How I Spent My Birthday

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!! Darn, you all know how to make a girl feel special. :-)

My birthday was great!! Friday, the girls at work did cake for me. I'm kinda surprised that they remembered because I didn't mention my upcoming b-day. My dad's birthday was Friday, so we did dinner for him and then a super yummy tiramisu cake.

Saturday, I went and got my hair trimmed. I would have liked to get a mani/pedi too... but it was a busy day, so I'll have to do that some night this week. Then, I played on the computer for a while, and did a little window shopping. Next up was lunch with my parents - and my dad's first time in Cheesecake Factory. I LOVE that place, but I don't think he was too impressed. Ah, at least he can say that he's been there now.... Following lunch were a few more errands, then cake with my parents and off to my cousin Kirstren's house.

Yep, I spend a fun-filled evening with Kirstren (aka my other sibling) and her little highly energetic little boy. I'm pretty sure that everyone in Massachusetts knew it was my birthday; he's GOOD at getting the word out to passersby! :-) A few errands, out to dinner and then back to her house for a fire pit! YAY!! There's nothing like a good fire pit and glass (or two) of wine with someone you enjoy hanging out with. Her man-friend graced us with his presence and we capped off our night watching the Food Channel, listening to a thunderstorm and playing on CrackBerry.com. It may sound tame to you...but I had a blast!

My new obsession is True Blood. I'm reading the second Charlaine Harris "Sookie Stackhouse" book and have made it through the entire first season of the show. For some reason, I really like the theme song. :-)

OK, off to watch tonight's episode of True Blood!

All Things Vampire Related

I think that I might be addicted to vampires...and I'm beginning to wonder if they have 12-step program for it. In my mind a meeting for it would go a little like this:

Me: Hi. My name is Cole, and I'm addicted to Vampires.
Group: Welcome, Cole.
Me: It's been 2 weeks since I last read the Twilight series.
Group: *Round of applause*
Me: I'm feeling the pressure; Twilight is available on DVD in just 2 hours. I've already ordered it online from Barnes & Noble...but I think that I might need to go wait in line for an emergency copy from BestBuy.
Group: You really need two copies?
Me: No, not really... but maybe, just maybe the extra copy could be part of my first give away?!?!
Group: Oh, that's a different story. To the cars people...it's a late night field trip!!

Yes, I know that I'm delusional. :-) It's not just Twilight though... For years, I've had an affinity for Anne Rice novels. Plus CBS made me ecstatically happy last year when they aired (the short lived series) Moonlight. Really, Alex O'Loughlin makes one HOT vampire!

Am I alone on my affinity for Twilight (both books and DVD)? I think that the hopeless romantic part of me likes that there's the possibility of FOREVER with someone you love.

What do you think? Could you deal with your hubby FOREVER? Or maybe just a good hundred years?!?!
