New Years Resolutions

Happy New Year!!

I'm going to tell you a secret - I HATE making New Year's resolutions.  Somehow, I feel compelled to make the same resolutions every year.

I'll work less.
I'll drink more water.
I'll actually go on vacation.
I'll give to charity; do all sorts of fun stuff; cut out the stress in my life.

None of that actually happens.  Fine.  I drink more water...but everything else is vastly unsuccessful.

I don't think I'm going to make any New Years resolutions this year.

How about you?

  1. I do think resolutions are often hard to keep, but there are so few New Year traditions - I feel I have to do "something" to mark the passage into the new year.
    Happy New Year!

  4. I think these are all great resolutions and you really should keep them! I know working less may feel a bit out of your control... but water is ESSENTIAL as is a vacation! DO IT GIRL!! I know you can. :)

  6. I never make resolutions, but this year I am making a list of goals. I've never been one to set goals either, believe it or not. It feels good to have something to shoot for!

  8. Nope! No New Year's resolutions here. I don't like the pressure of it all. I just want to live life content. Sure, there are things that I will try my best to do better with but not in a sense, will I make them resolutions. Happy New Year to you.

  9. I am a very goal oriented person so I do set goals for myself every new year. I don't call them resolutions, just life goals. Not sure what the difference is. LOL

  10. Urgh! I do the same thing! This year Im making it more general...just overall trying to work on myself. This way I don't let myself down, yet I still have goals in mind. Happy New Year!
